At The End It All Begins

I can remember when we were kids we would spend almost whole summers out at Gramma's house on the sandy shore of Lake Superior just 55km north of Sault Ste Marie, Ontario. One of the things I remember most is the selection of wild fruit and vegetables that could be found in that area. Peas used to grow in the place where the grass met the sand down at the beach and my sister could always be found down in that little area eating the peas like they were going out of style.

I miss being able to spend time out there. Laying in the sun, paddle-boat adventures, toad hunting at night, bonfires with all the kids from down the beach, quad rides through the bush, beautiful view of the lake, friendly neighbours, the smell of fresh air, the stars in the sky at night, feeding chippy from your hand, boats and sea-doos, country music, family, great food, etc.

I'd give anything to be a kid again and never have to grow up.
